LW/C Ryan Donato TWF 80 (24) 1.9M UFA 2021 2 years @ 2.0M - UFA 2023 With Donato's utility as a winger and an option at the faceoff dot, we'd like to keep him for a little bit longer and stay in our bottom six core. LW Dmytro Timashov PLY 78 (23) 0.700M RFA 2021 2 years @ 1.0M - UFA 2023 An extra option at the wing, could see some time in big league play. G Ilya Sorokin HYB 80 (25) - 2.0M RFA 2021 4 years @ 3.5M - UFA 2025 Obviously, Sorokin is playing out of his mind right now. Top 10 in save percentage and goals against average. He's very much a major reason as to why we're in a playoff position right now. We want to give him the opportunity to be a starter within the next few years, starting with this first long-term deal. Greer PWF 74 (24) - 0.700M RFA 2021 3 years @ 0.850M - UFA 2024 RD Steven Santini DFD 76 (25) 0.700M RFA 2021 2 years @ 0.750M - UFA 2023 These minor leaguers and fringe NHL players are guys we want to keep for a little while longer. Some may get their chances as soon as next season, but all have the security, however, to play professional hockey with a little bit of a pay hike for financial security. Bad News Islanders GM

C/LW Danton Heinen TWF 81 (26) 2.8M RFA 2021 2 Years @ 2.000M - UFA 2023 Heinen is in a tough position from our standpoint, because of his prior 2.8 million cap hit. He is decent enough for us to possibly play 3rd line time, but with recent re-signings having us close to the new salary cap, we're asking him to take a pay cut in order to stay on a contending team like us. We feel after the season's performance that we had that we have a legitimate shot at making a deeper run than last season. However, we can understand if this isn't enough salary for him. We are more than willing to move him to a team that will pay him more properly if he seeks it. C Casey Cizikas TWF 82 (30) - 3.35M UFA 2021 1 Year @ 2.75M - UFA 2022 Cizikas is another tough scenario, given his salary, because we do want him back, but we don't think we can sustain the salary he was given prior to this, so we're extending another olive branch - a smaller salary - in hopes that he would like to stay in Long Island and see this deep run we want out of this, hence the one year extension. If it doesn't work out, then he is more than welcome to leave us after next season and look for a more proper pay day. Bad News Islanders GM
