I accept. I've been shopping Ellis for awhile now and get two key young defenders that are NHL ready. It was clear that noone was gonna give me a 1st + prospect so I took this one. CAR's 1st is a late one and I got 2 others.

This is junk anyway lol for Preds unless Bear and Bouchard are in line for +3s min which I doubt they are. Mines a reject. Take out the retention and the 1st and I might be swayed. Why is the 1st even there lol should be going onto Preds if anything

First, I get told prospects don't have nearly as much value as in the other leagues.
Now you're telling me young established NHL'ers like Bear aren't very valuable.
So, who is valuable? 

Listen, I've tried to move Ellis and nobody has offered me anything I wanted. The closest was FLA but I didn't need a G. I get two solid young D-man for my roster (RD to boot) with this trade and Cernak is a whatever but he's young. Adding the first might be overkill but I'd rather have the two young D on my roster for the rest of this season to grow and develop.

I can't force people to trade with me when I get told Ellis' contract is bad or that nobody wants to offer a 1st or top prospect for him. I'm working with what I have. I'm not going to sit and be a treadmill team with the roster I took over.

Again, if people have an issue with these trades then start offering otherwise I take what I am given. It takes two to tango on here.

People need to get it out of their mind that prospects are worth so much less here. I don't know why everyone keeps saying that. They just don't get a guaranteed +5 OA in their first 2 years playing in th NHL, they get btwn 2 and 4 OA. They get +2 as an 18 yr old and 0-2 as a 19 yr old. Some Mods are misleading other GMs
