Yup Palmieri would be outside of the team, due to choosing a few prospects instead. So better to get a Pick then paying 4,5M for nothing

Edmonton Oilers GM Palmieri has a NMC. He can't be traded to LAK. Players aged 28-31 will waive their NTC/NMC to teams higher in the standings LAK was lower in the standings. For off-season, it goes off of previous season's standings

For off-season, it goes off of previous season's standings I see, that sucks for Palmieri. Will result in a downgrade for him next offseason A question to know what teams that can take on NMC's in future. Does it go off Standings and/or playoffs from last season? (Since I can finish 1st OA in the league and get out in the first round, are the other teams then higher then me or not? )

Goes by regular season standings and not when you are knocked out of playoffs. You wont be able to trade him to too many teams this off-season as you were a top team. Once the season starts, it will go off of current season standings.
