You don't have to sign every player to multi year contracts |

Not sure what the problem is with them signing for that much for a year. Too much value is put on the age of a player. 81 OA is still 81 OA whether you are 30 yrs old or 20 yrs old.

Devon Levi was a 77... According to the contracts given out, he woud need a +6 to make his contract make sense. But maybe I'm just a fool for extending early.. I think I'll be waiting it out next season |

I also like that contracts are more expensive because they're "projected" to get an upgrade... Guys that are 77-79 aren't likely to be upgraded past an 81 in the offseason. Therefore, they probably should've all got 1M dollar deals as well.
You're also not touching on the fact that common sense shows that these contracts are free waiver material. Why wouldn't Abrimov want 1.75M? Then if leafs wants to put him in the minors, he has to waive him...
