Not sure what you are referring to but calgary pays full salary minus the retention. Silfverberg is on his NHL roster. He was put on waivers to see if anyone would claim him.

But if he was buying him out then both teams pay 1/2 or 1/3 whatever the rule is for a buyout so Anaheim would have paid 1/3 or 1/2 or 1.0
